Sam Carter

Sam Carter has trumpeted BC's vibrant applied arts and design culture throughout the province, Canada and internationally. Artist, mentor, curator, advocate and educator, Sam's influence has brought recognition to the accomplishments of BC's creative individuals and to the businesses they spawn. An associate professor at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, Sam has guided and inspired scores of young artists and provided them with international opportunities. Sam has established vital links between British Columbia and Pacific Rim arts. He has showcased the work of BC artists in exhibitions throughout the world. On a daily basis, Sam Carter reaffirms the cultural richness of British Columbia.
